Pursuit |
Rock / Pop / French
During their thirteen year existence, Matmatah lit up the French music scene and opened the doors for a new generation of musicians at a time when rock bands had become scarce in France. They quickly found their style and force in the music that had inspired them, creating a sound and an identity which was new but equally drawings its roots from the music of the 70’s.

Baptized the french Beastie Boys, the gang woke up the hip hop scene in France by introducing a large dose of humour and rock’n’roll lifestyle into their lyrics and abetted by the impulse of beatmaker friends like D.J. Pone, who went on to form Birdy Nam Nam, they mixed together the sounds of punk, dirty south and old school hip hop.

Don’t count on them to spread a wave of optimism into your lives, this does not mean that THM lack energy in their music, as illustrated by the wide vocal range of the singer. They hit us in the face both live and on record, between Ride and Radiohead, Air and Pink Floyd or even Bewitched Hands.

Kaleidoskøpe EP |
Indie / Rock / Pop
Formed in 2016, the 5 musicians of BIGGER could very well have come out of the Cavern Quarters of Liverpool. Cradled by the British Sixties Beats of their elders, they speak with as much ease in melancholy and darkness as Nick Cave or Anna Calvi. Their influences, however, are not enough to drown out their originality as they craft a dark rock that comes to light through colourful choruses. The listener is plunged into a murky and cinematographic world, where one strolls along the Mersey River, flowing straight into the Irish Sea, paying homage to the home of the band’s Irish singer, Kevin Twomey.
|
Rock / Ambient / Post-Rock
British composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Robin Foster’s intensely brooding instrumentals bring an intangible but undeniable tension, packed with lush cinematic textures, electronic loops, airy synths and all driven by waves of guitars. He’s scoring movies and commercials too.
PenInsular |
Pop / Electro / French
Behind the name Volin, there’s a trio guided by the verb and the dream to cultivate blank paths of french indie rock. From Portishead to Aphex Twin and passing by Grizzly Bear, we can recognize them through nice inspirations and brilliant intentions.
Volcan |
Soundtrack / Ambient / Pop
Escaped from Matmatah, Tristan Nihouarn has scored two documentaries with contemporary sounds and classical instruments. He success to marry up perfect soundtracks with empty and cold landscapes.
Polarities |
Electro / Pop / Rock
The trio mixes robotic and punchy electro beats with a British rock sound. They tour consistently as far afield as Japan and their debut EP has received plenty of support from musical blogs all over the world.
